Benefits of replacing CRT monitors with Video Refurbishing Services (VRS) LCD monitors:

• VRS LCD monitors have a mean-time between failure (MTBF) rate of 50,000 hours. 
• VRS LCD monitors have a viewing angle of up to 170 degrees.  Older LCD monitors have a smaller viewing angle which makes these older monitors difficult to view at times.
• Replacing CRT monitors with VRS LCD monitors reduces the weight of the aircraft.  The 14-inch CRT monitor weighs 24 pounds.  Our LCD monitor weighs only 6 pounds.  On a typical 757 installation, the aircraft weight is reduced by 144 pounds.  On a fleet of 200 aircraft, that is a reduction of 28,800 pounds!  This factor alone can save an airline millions of dollars each year.
• Each monitor kit comes complete with mounting hardware and new shrouds to make each installation effortless.  VRS 15-inch retrofit monitor replaces the old 14-inch and 15-inch CRT monitors.  It gives a slightly bigger picture in the same amount of space as the old 14-inch CRT monitors. 
• VRS retrofit kits are priced well below the normal cost of some of the "big" IFE manufacturers.
